«Headlines»
Sometimes, we all need to take a moment, take a step back from our day to day and take a moment to think bigger. The mottos on the cards can help provide inspiration and vision for change for you as an individual or for the team.
30 Minutes
1-99 Participants
How it works:
- Have participants work in small groups of 3 or 5.
- Each group should get a handful of cards to pick from.
- Each group should then pick one Motto they want to work with from the cards they got and set the others aside.
- Groups should then spend 15 – 20 minutes putting together a sort of newspaper or magazine page using the motto as inspiration and answering the question «If our goal is XYZ, what would the paper say in 5 years if we are successful?» Where XYZ the Motto on the card is.
- What would the headline read? What would we be saying? What would outsider say about us, etc.
Tips, tricks & more:
- We stated up to 99 Participants because there is effectively no limit in how many people can participate and we always found it funny that games always limit ages to 99… here we limit the participants. Feel free to accept the challenge!
- The questions listed above are just suggestions. Feel free to design the parts of the page as you see fit and as is needed to achieve the outcome you want.

«Pick Three»
Icebreakers tend to be boring or over the top. Luckily, our icebreaker is neither! It’s simple and surprising while also being effective.
Change: «My Commitment»
We all need reminders now and then. Visuals provide the perfect queues and help us not to forget. So chose a motto and no more excuses!
«What if?»
Sometimes it is important to let our sense of wonder take over in order to explore all that could be. Without limitations imagine what would be possible.
«Yes, and»
Boost your innovation through divergent thinking. Combine random activity cards with a bit of inspired improvisation and let the magic begin.
«Story Time»
Most Icebreakers are predictable. Participants share the same basic information that very few remember a day later. It’s time to shake things up a bit.
