«Headlines»

Time: 30 minutes
Participants: 1–99

Sometimes, we all need to take a moment, take a step back from our day to day and think bigger. The mottos on the cards can help provide inspiration and vision for change for you as an individual or for the team.

How it works

  • Have participants work in small groups of three or five.
  • Each group should get a handful of cards to pick from.
  • Each group should then pick one motto they want to work with from the cards they got and set the others aside.
  • Groups should then spend 15–20 minutes putting together a sort of newspaper or magazine page using the motto as inspiration and answering the question: «If our goal is XYZ, what would the paper say in five years if we are successful?» (where XYZ is the motto on the card).
  • What would the headline read? What would we be saying? What would outsiders say about us, etc.

Tips, tricks & more

  • We stated up to 99 participants because there is effectively no limit in how many people can participate and we always found it funny that games always limit ages to 99… here we limit the participants. Feel free to accept the challenge!
  • The questions listed above are just suggestions. Feel free to design the parts of the page as you see fit and as is needed to achieve the outcome you want.
